Database Administrator (DBA)

Summary

Nipendo is seeking a Database Administrator (DBA) to join our team; experience in Microsoft SQL Server preferred and noSQL a plus. In this job, you will collaborate with multiple project and portfolio teams and will help to ensure continuity and resiliency of our business operations through on-going support and maintenance of critical system databases.

Requirements:

At least 4-year experience and knowledge in Microsoft SQL Server (2008 – 2017).
Database design and development experience.
Experience Monitoring system’s health and performance.
Analyze, solve, and correct issues in real-time.
Provide 24×7 support for critical production systems.
Strong experience with DB troubleshooting and performance optimization.
Strong technical skills including: Log shipping; Clustering; views; Replications; Stored Procedures, Availability Groups.
Experience as a DBA for large scale and high traffic web applications.
Experience with SSRS.
Experience with TFS.
Code developing in scripts language or some other languages.
Good knowledge of data backup, recovery, security, integrity and SQL development.
Proven working experience in working with developers to create databases, tables, SQL code, stored procedures and performing code reviews.
Strong experience in index management, disk capacity management.
Very strong background in writing TSQL queries and procedures.
knowledge with NoSQL tools – advantage.
