Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI)

Eyal Morad

Deputy COO & VP Supply Chain

Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) had to manually process hundreds of thousands of invoices, Purchase Orders, and other supply chain documents, resulting in data errors and discrepancies, and in significant payment delays to suppliers. Inaccuracies resulting from manual processing also created supply gaps that negatively impacted production lines. Supplier satisfaction was very low and interaction with IAI was frustrating.

Nowadays, close to 100% of invoices from Israeli suppliers and over 40% of invoices from non-Israeli suppliers, as well as Purchase Orders, go through the Nipendo platform, along with the associated automation and validations. The automation capabilities are being expanded into sourcing and awarding processes, which is expected to further reduce human involvement and improve supplier satisfaction.

As a result of deploying Nipendo’s automation platform, IAI has been able to transition human resources to more value-added assignments and has significantly improved its SLA vis-à-vis suppliers and customers. They are now able to address inquiries much faster, have created transparency in the process, and have been able to pay suppliers accurately and within the appropriate time frames. IAI’s supply chain has become far more efficient, creating a positive impact on production lines and on competitiveness.
